Use social networks to your advantage
Many people think that Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. is for kids or young folks. That could not be any further from the truth. When you make a website you want to use all the free sources that are available to you. I will make a complete list of the sites & services I use and will go over a few of them in this post. Obviously it's a good idea to use Youtube or similar video hosting sites to help promote your website or products. Millions of people are online everyday looking to buy something. Amazon is another great site where you can buy or sell everything from books & movies to computers & other electronics. All of the blogging sites will help too, like Blogger, Word Press & tons of other ones. Here is a list of blogging sites that are free to join and will surely help you get the word out about your website or products. You can add all the same content on them or do a different product for each. Also, link back to your other blogs & website from each of them. This will help if someone only finds one of your blogs and they like your content, the links to your site & other blogs will be available for them to click. The more good content you have about a certain topic, the better off you will be. I think that is key, pick something you enjoy and know a lot about. The passion has to be there or you will get bored with it & won't keep it fresh. If visitors come back to your blog or website and it's exactly how they left it a week ago chances are they won't come back a 3rd time. They also won't run and tell friends about it. Word of mouth goes a long way when you have good or bad content. If you have tons of banners and pop-ups, people may run and tell their friends (which can be thousands of people on social networks) to stay clear of the site. Also, people hate surveys & spam! I know a lot of web builders offer a survey to display to your visitors. That's one of the biggest turn-offs when I go to a website. If a box pops up and tells me to take a short survey or any other kind of pop-up really.
So, just try to use all the available free tools to your advantage & you will be seeing results in no time. If anyone needs any help or have questions feel free to message me or leave a comment here. Thanks for stopping in & be sure to come back ~ Cya!
